The NMC blank accident prevention tag is made of 15 mil vinyl for water and chemical resistance, and is blank on both sides to provide the ability to write a customized message to help improve workplace safety. This tag has a tensile strength of 6,300 pounds per square inch to help resist unauthorized removal. It includes a 3/8" diameter hole and an 8" one-piece nylon cable tie for attachment. The tag measures 6 x 3 inches (H x W). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right.) Lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety procedures require that tagout devices meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 1910.147(c)(5) standards for quality assurance. Lockout tags (also called safety tags) use color and warning text to help prevent machine operation or power activation during maintenance and repair.
