The Red Lion SCV114 ABS vertical inline check valve is designed for use with sump pumps. This check valve includes two reversible adapters and can fit both 1-1/4-inch or 1-1/2-inch PVC or ABS pipe. This unit comes preassembled for use with 1-1/4-inch pipe. To use the check valve for 1-1/2-inch pipe, loosen the stainless steel fasteners and pull off both adapters and reinstall so widest opening of each adapter points outward. The flapper opens 100% and the flapper seat design reduces water hammer and debris build-up. The flow direction is etched into the product so it will not fall during use. This check valve must be installed vertically. This Little Giant check valve is made of PVC plastic. It is 11/4 inch ID in and out with stainless steel clamps.
